Summary

Grace McMonagle is a 2018-2022 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Kansas. She received a B.S. (2018) in mathematics and statistics from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI. Her undergraduate research was in the field of group theory and combinatorics. McMonagle also spends time volunteering with her local FIRST robotics teams - in Allendale and now in Lawrence. She started and coaches an all-girls fourth through sixth grade team to inspire young girls in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and engineering. After finishing her Ph.D., McMonagle intends to become a university professor at a teaching-focused institute.
