Ian Weidling

Weidling a 2015-2019 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences. He received a B.S. (2013) in biology from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. As an undergraduate, he earned honors in biology for his studies on neuronal architecture while holding leadership roles in multiple campus organizations. His current research focuses on cellular energy production in the context of ageing and neurodegeneration. He hopes to continue studying the contribution of metabolic defects to human ageing throughout his career as a research professor in academia.​
