Dickinson is a 2014-2018 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in bioengineering. He received a B.A. (2014) in biochemistry from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colorado. As an undergraduate, Dickinson participated in various research assistant positions in chemistry and biology, in addition to being a student scene shop worker for the Drama/Dance department. As an undergraduate researcher, Dickinson measured nest sites and researched potential fluorinated antimalarials. Dickinson decided to pursue bioengineering after his father underwent a successful double total knee arthroplasty. In the future, Dickinson hopes to work in industry, where he can continue to advance the performance of prosthetics.
