Grace McMonagle

Grace McMonagle is a 2018-2022 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science. She received a BS (2018) in mathematics and statistics from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. Her current research focuses on quantum algorithms. Specifically, she aims to solve the Hidden Subgroup Problem for the Dihedral and Symmetric groups. McMonagle also spends time volunteering with her local FIRST robotics teams - in Allendale and now in Lawrence. She started and coaches an all-girls fourth through sixth grade team to inspire young girls in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and engineering.
