Fellowship Eligibility



In order to become a Self Graduate Fellow, students must first meet a number of criteria before a fellowship nomination is submitted.

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Have been admitted into one of the eligible disciplines listed below
  • Have completed your first baccalaureate degree within the past eight years
  • Be a new and incoming Ph.D. student or first-year Ph.D. student at the time of nomination

Eligible Academic Disciplines

Under current guidelines, Self Graduate Fellowships may only be offered to students who will pursue a Ph.D. in the 22 academic areas listed. Below are links to the department websites for further information.
