Biography

Adam Baruth is a 2025-2026 Self Memorial Scholar pursuing an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Adam earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kanas in 2025, graduating with highest distinction and being selected as Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher of the Aerospace Engineering department. During his time as an undergraduate, Adam earned an Undergraduate Research Award in 2022 and was an Undergraduate Research Fellow from 2022-2023. Adam's research in the field of guidance and control of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) under Dr. Shawn Keshmiri earned him a Department of Defense SMART scholarship for his graduate studies, where he will continue to investigate guidance for swarm UAS. Adam hopes to use his research to contribute to the use of autonomy for the national defense effort.
