Christopher Frederick Raithel

Chris Raithel is a 2025-2026 Self Memorial Scholar pursuing a Master of Accounting degree. He received a B.S. in Business with a major in Accounting and a minor in Business Analytics from the University of Kansas in May 2025. In his undergraduate career, Chris co-founded the student organization KU Gaymers for LGBTQ students and allies and served on the Student Senate, including as Fund Development Director and Speaker of the Students' Assembly. Chris was also an officer in the Undergraduate Business Council and Honors Community Advocates, a volunteer at the Campus Cupboard food pantry, and a member of the University Honors Program and the Jack Dicus Business Honors Program. In the future, Chris plans to be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and work as an external auditor, with the goal of one day auditing public programs to ensure funds are used efficiently and effectively.
