Biography —
Jenna Ghannam is a 2025-2026 Self Memorial Scholar pursuing an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Kansas. She holds a B.A. in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and graduated with university honors. During her undergraduate studies, Jenna was actively involved in leadership roles, including serving as the Treasurer and President for the Muslim Students Association, as well as the founder and President of Students for Justice in Palestine. She also participated in the Living in Color Design Team through the Honors Program. Jenna’s research experience includes working as a research coordinator for the grant study: Validity of a Nonspeech, Dynamic Assessment of the Alphabetic Principle at the Life Span Institute. She also presented a research proposal for more inclusivity in pre-literacy assessments at the 2023 National American Speech and Hearing Association convention. As an advocate for human rights, Jenna plans to work with humanitarian aid organizations post-graduation, aiming to bring services to underserved communities.
