Jonathan Guzman

Jonathan Guzman is a 2026-2030 Self Graduate Fellow from Lawrence, Kansas pursuing a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering at the University of Kansas. He received his B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas in 2024 and his M.S. in aerospace engineering from the same institution in 2026. His research focuses on multifunctional aerospace structures that support climate science, specifically through the remote sensing of polar regions. Through this work, Jonathan has contributed to three projects with the Center for Remote Sensing and Integrated Systems (CReSIS), an NSF-funded Science and Technology Center developing technologies and models to measure polar ice sheet change and its effects on global sea level. He aims to lead interdisciplinary research that advances environmental science and improves our understanding of a rapidly changing planet.
