Biography

Lilly Springer is a 2021-2025 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics. She received a B.A. in Economics from Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) in 2021. Her undergraduate research focused on the economics of Broadway theatre. For her doctoral research, Springer is interested in the intersection of labor, health, and gender with a focus on patient-provider gender concordance and the economic impacts of abortion. Upon finishing her Ph.D., Springer hopes to enter academia and continue researching and teaching. Outside of academia, Springer enjoys reading romance novels, volunteering at the library, and advocating for causes she's passionate about.
