Biography

Natalie Lind is a 2023-2027 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry at the University of Kansas. She obtained a B.S in chemistry (2022) from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. There, she explored synthesizing metal-based complexes that contain a new organic scaffold for pharmaceutical research on anti-cancer pro-drugs. Lind will utilize her passion for process chemistry and reaction optimization during her doctoral research in Dr. James Blakemore’s lab. Her current research is focused on finding ways to tune the electronic properties of actinides and lanthanides in an effort to address the demand for advancements in nuclear energy and electronics. Her goal is to tie her passion for process chemistry and her knowledge of f-block elements to aid in the advancement of radiopharmaceuticals.
