Biography

Navya Nittala is a 2025–2026 SELF Memorial Scholar pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Kansas. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in May 2026 as a member of the University Honors Program and earned a Cybersecurity Undergraduate Certificate. As a SELF Engineering Leadership Fellow, Navya has developed a strong interest in the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and business strategy.
Navya has gained professional experience through internships at Intuit, Wells Fargo, Black & Veatch, and Capitol Federal Savings Bank. At Intuit, she works as a Security Engineering Intern, developing AI-powered automation solutions to streamline vulnerability remediation and improve engineering efficiency. Her previous experiences have included cloud infrastructure automation, cybersecurity risk management, data engineering, and analytics modernization. She also served as a Cybersecurity Undergraduate Research Assistant at the KU Institute for Information Sciences, where she conducted research on Android sensor security and machine learning applications.
Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Navya served as an organizer of the KU Infrastructure as Code Workshop, helping connect students with industry professionals and hands-on learning opportunities in cloud and DevOps technologies. She also served as President of the Society of Women Engineers at KU, leading initiatives that supported engineering students across disciplines and fostered professional development and community engagement.
Following completion of her MBA, Navya plans to pursue a career in technology leadership and cybersecurity strategy, leveraging emerging technologies to help organizations solve complex challenges and drive meaningful innovation.
