Biography —
Nick Ferry is a 2020-2024 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in geology. He received a B.S. (2018) in geology from Northern Illinois University and an M.S. (2020) in geology from the University of Cincinnati. His current research interests lie in using detrital zircon U-Pb provenance and geochronology to define and quantify Upper Triassic source-to-sink sediment routing and landscape evolution. After finishing his doctoral study, Ferry plans to pursue a career as a research geologist with a private research institute or the federal government. From 2008-2012, Ferry served honorably in the US Marine Corps where he reached the rank of Sergeant.
