Nimra Syed

Nimra Syed is a 2026-2027 SELF Memorial Scholar pursuing a dual MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics(MSBA) at the University of Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from KU in May 2026 and a former SELF Engineering Leadership Fellow throughout her undergraduate career.

During her time at KU, Nimra developed a strong interest in the connection between technology and business through internships, leadership experiences, and hands-on projects. She has worked on software engineering projects involving artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and mobile applications, and enjoys using technology to solve practical, real-world problems.

Beyond academics, Nimra served as Recruitment Chair for the Society of Women Engineers and has been involved in mentoring, community engagement, and student leadership initiatives across campus. Through her graduate studies, she hopes to strengthen her understanding of business strategy and analytics while building on her technical foundation. She plans to pursue a career that combines technology, data, and business to help organizations make informed decisions and create meaningful solutions.
