Reb Bryant is a 2020-2024 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Reb is studying the use of soil microbes in restoring diverse, resilient plant communities in prairies. Originally from north Louisiana, Reb attended Rice University in Houston, TX to earn a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Biological Sciences while researching the viral community of endosymbiotic algae in reef-building corals. Reb is passionate about the ecology of symbiosis and the power of communities (human and otherwise) and is excited to explore and share these topics within academia and beyond.
