Sasha Sharman

Sasha Sharman is a 2026-2027 Self Memorial Scholar pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree as a City/County Management Fellow. They received a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience with certificates in Data Science and Mind and Brain from the University of Kansas in May 2026. They also received a B.A. in Philosophy with certificates from the University Honors College, Service Learning Program, and Global Awareness Program. In December 2026, Sasha will also be the first student to receive a B.S. in Data Science from the University. In their undergraduate career, Sasha founded The Weekly Rose, a Kansas focused student news publication. They also served as the Chair of the Elections commission for the Student Senate, and as a representative on the University Senate Executive Committee. Sasha currently serves on the board of the directors at the ECM, a community center at the end of Jayhawk Boulevard. In the future, Sasha plans to pursue a dual degree in Law and Public Administration and serve in city and county advocacy focused on building engaged and connected communities.
