Biography

Scott Ring is a 2021-2025 Self Graduate Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a focus in biomechanics at the University of Kansas. He graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering (2019) and a certificate in bioengineering from the University of Kansas. His current research in the KU Biodynamics Research Lab seeks to investigate balance improvements provided by sub-threshold vibration. Ring plans to spend time in the industry at a biomedical company where he can develop the next generation of medical devices. When Ring is not in the lab, he makes time for baking, nature walks, traveling, video games, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
