Biography

Sivani Badrivenkata is a 2024-2028 Self Graduate Fellow, pursuing a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Kansas. She obtained a B.S. in pharmaceutical sciences in 2024 from the same university. Badrivenkata’s research interests include protein therapies and modeling drug behavior in-vivo. She is particularly interested in developing drug formulations that address the needs of oft-overlooked patient populations in lower and middle-income countries. She aspires to conduct pharmaceutical research for public-private drug development partnerships post graduation. These partnerships can best be described as collaborative efforts between government agencies, drug companies, and relevant stakeholders to match industry’s innovation with complementary health infrastructure and access. This way, the fruits of research reach the patient populations most in need.
